May I use my own Alcoholics Anonymous® Coin to have you make a ring?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, I do not accept personal coins to fabricate a Recovery Coin Ring.

The coin I use is specially minted specifically for my ring making process.  Any other coin not of the same dimensions or layout would not allow for me to properly fabricate the ring as you see it.

Is making a ring from money against the law?

Accepted Answer

No, the fabrication of my ring does not break any law nor infringe on any organization.

United States law allows for people to use coins for jewelry or other purposes as long as there is no attempt to use them as legal tender currency (18 U.S.C. § 331) as a means or manner with which to commit fraud.

Question 3

Will my finger turn green from wearing this ring?

Accepted Answer

No.  Skin discoloration occurs when the metals and materials used to make the ring are of lesser quality.

Peterson's Design rings are made from pure .999 silver which will not discolor your skin.

Is Peterson's Design directly affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous?

Accepted Answer

No.  While Peterson's Design leverages the support phrases of Alcoholics Anonymous, we are not directly affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous.  However, we fully support the mission and operations of Alcoholics Anonymous, their members near and far, and we hope our products will serve as a constant reminder of 'Unity', 'Service', and 'Recovery' for those along this most important of life journeys.
